Get Wild with a FREE presentation at your school!

Coastal Wilds’s free mobile animal education program is a great way to get kids more involved with natural wildlife and give them an up-close and personal experience with the different kinds of animals we share the planet with. Students participate by asking questions and responding to the speaker, making our program not only educational but also entertaining! Coastal Wilds’s exotic animal education program is 100% FREE to both your students and school.

Coastal Wilds’s animal education program is 
100% free to both your students and school. We fund our free program by providing students with the opportunity to purchase pictures with our live animal ambassadors. These 6x4 photos are $15 each and are printed the day of the event!* Digital copies of these photos will also be provided to students. Schools can distribute the pictures to parents, use the photographs in yearbooks, and social media pages. No sale of digital photos permitted.

*in the case of technical difficulties, photos will be mailed within one week of visit.

Need To Know Information

Our presentation is typically 30-45 minutes, featuring up to five animal ambassadors. We can tailor our presentation to highlight your lesson plan, just ask! Optional animal sponsor photos will be taken for all students who pre-ordered them on the day of the presentation, before, after, or between presentations. Our enthusiastic animal presenters will visit your school in pairs of two or as a solo crew. Our employees are trained to handle the entire process, but volunteer helpers are always welcome, especially to streamline the day for a large school.

 

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is there a maximum or minimum number of students per presentation?
    We have a minimum of 250 students per presentation and no maximum.

  • How many presentations can be given in a day?
    We can give up to three presentations in a day, but do our best to limit the stress on our animals.

  • Where can presentations be held?
    Indoors or Outdoor: Auditorium / Cafeteria / Gymnasium / Pavilion

  • Where can photos be taken?
    Indoors, with an outlet nearby and space for the students to move in and out of the photo space.

  • What does Coastal Wilds need from my school?
    Permission slips given to and collected from every student participating in our event. Permission for every student, digital permission slips must be signed and can be recorded on the site.

  • How should we organize student money for orders?
    Money should be detached from any paperwork and grouped with each teachers class form. If there are any cash payments, it should be handed to our employees the morning of your schools presentation and labeled with student and teacher names. Cash orders can be recorded on the website for each classroom.

Host your next class field trip with us for an unforgettable experience that will last a child's lifetime!

Field trips to Coastal Wilds are wild! Students will enjoy an exciting outdoor tour led by our enthusiastic caretakers. These guided tours include live animal encounters and provide an excellent educational experience for young minds!

Need To Know Information

At Coastal Wilds, - our field trips are about an hour and a half and include a 45 minute guided walking tour and 45 minutes of hands-on encounters including our Kangaroo Walkabout. During the show, your group will learn about animal behaviors, fun facts, and students can touch and feel some of the animals!

  • What is the cost?
    $25 for students - This includes the presentation, hands-on encounters and a FREE Animal Adoption Kit!

  • Do teachers and chaperones need to pay?
    Teachers are FREE however we do require a $15 admission fee for chaperones.

  • Is there a maximum or minimum number of students for field trips? 
    We have a minimum of 40 students and no maximum.  We put students in groups of 20 for the tour, depending on their age.

  • Is there bus parking available?
    We have plenty of room for bus parking and other vehicles.

  • Can students eat lunch at the facility?
    Picnic tables are available for students to eat lunch on site.
